个人简介
I am developing research in various aspects related with the molecular hydrolysis of structural carbohydrates. In particular I am very interested in understanding the importance of protein:protein interactions and the assembly of multi-enzyme complexes in plant cell degradation.
I am also investigating the role of carbohydrate-binding modules in the function of glycoside hydrolases and carbohydrate esterases. I am exploiting novel high-through put approaches to discover novel enzymes and to understand the large amount of genomic information presently available.
I devoted a significant interest in exploiting biotechnological applications for cellulases and hemicellulases - in particular I am understanding how exogenous enzymes improve the nutritive value of cereal-based diets for monogastric animals.
Finally, I am the co-founder of NZYTech genes & enzymes, a company devoted to offer molecular tools, in particular recombinant enzymes, to promote life sciences worldwide.
