He serves as a member of the editorial board and consultant of several journals of national and international circulation. He has experience in dentistry, with emphasis on Dental and Dental Restorative Materials, working mainly on the following topics: biomechanics, finite elements, mechanical assays, in the study of polymerization contraction, biomechanics of dentoalveolar trauma and intra-root retainers. Held the position of Coordinator of the Dentistry Area at CAPES between 2013 and 2017; served as a member of the Board of Health at FAPEMIG between 2015 and 2017. Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials - ADM. Develops projects in partnership with researchers from the School of Dentistry of Piracicaba - UNICAMP, Federal University of Sergipe, Federal University of Pelotas and University of São Paulo. It has recently intensified the partnership with institutions from abroad such as University of Iowa - USA , University of Minnesota - USA, Dalhousie University - Canada, KU Leuven - Belgium, Pusan University - South Korea and University of Tennessee Health Science Center Dental School - USA.
