Associate Professor at the University of Salamanca (Spain). Editor of the Anuario electrónico de estudios en comunicación social “Disertaciones”. PhD in Communication by Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Master in Data Science and Master in Journalism, both by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). I have taught at the Universidad del Rosario (Colombia), Universidad del Norte (Colombia), Universidad de Los Andes (ULA) (Venezuela), and have been a researcher at URJC and the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) (Venezuela). Additionally, I have been a visiting professor at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) (Spain), Universidad de la Sabana (Colombia), Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (Spain), and Universidade Estadual Paulista (Brazil). I have published more than 80 peer-review papers, 40 of them in Journals included in the Journal Citation Report (JCR) or Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR). I have also published 11 books (4 as main author and 7 as editor) and 25 book chapters. I have been principal investigator (PI) of 10 funded projects and collaborator of 8 more.
