个人简介
Carles Fernández-Prades (S'02-M'06) received the MS and PhD (cum-laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2001 and 2006 respectively. During the pursuit of his PhD, he was recipient of a 2001–2004 PhD scholarship granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education. In 2001, he joined the Department of Signal Theory and Communication at UPC as a research assistant, getting involved in European and National research projects both with technical and managerial duties. He also was Teaching Assistant in the field of Analog and Digital Communications (UPC 2001–2005). In May 2006 he joined the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), where he currently holds a position as a Research Associate and as the Coordinator of the Communications Subsystems Area. During the second semester of 2007 he was a Visiting Lecturer at Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana (UTEM), Santiago, Chile. His primary areas of interest include Bayesian estimation, array signal processing, GNSS synchronization, digital communications and design of RF front-ends. He has advised one Ph.D. thesis and more than 10 Master's theses.
