Caroline Provost

I obtained a doctorate in biology from the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2005, specializing in entomology. In 2005, I worked at the University of Vermont in Burlington for one year in the entomology research laboratory. From 2006 to 2008, I did a postdoctoral fellowship with BioTEPP Inc., then became a researcher for this company until 2010. In 2010, I became the general director and researcher of the Mirabel Agrifood Research Center. My years of research in various fields have enabled me to develop expertise in viticulture, apple growing, vegetable and fruit crops, and greenhouse crops. My research topics mainly address crop protection, integrated pest management, sustainable development, crop management, biological pest control, biodiversity and soil health. Research projects in viticulture and apple have also enabled me to develop experience in enology for producing wine and cider adapted to Quebec conditions.
