Christine Gommenginger

Christine Gommenginger received the Diplome d’etudes approfondies degree in electromagnetics, telecommunications, and remote sensing from the University of Toulon, Toulon, France, and the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, Nice, France, and the Ph.D. degree, with a focus on microwave radar remote sensing of the ocean at low grazing angles, from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K. She was with the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, U.K. Her research interests include active and passive microwave remote sensing of the ocean, on understanding interactions of microwave signals with the ocean surface, on measuring ocean winds, waves, currents, salinity, and sea level from space and on developing new Earth Observation sensors, mission, and applications, contributions to conventional and delay Doppler altimetry, coastal altimetry, GNSS reflectometry, salinity from space, and SAR interferometry for currents.
