个人简介
Chong Ng received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K., in 1998 and 2006, respectively.
He is currently the Head of Applied Research of the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult Ltd., Glasgow, U.K. He is also the Nonexective Director of the TUS-ORE Catapult Research Centre, Yantai, China. His team focuses on offshore renewable energy technologies and novel test and validation solutions research and developments. Before this, as the Head of Validation, he led a multidisciplinary engineering team and delivered full-scale multimegawatt wind and tidal turbine nacelle/powertrain test and validation projects and world-class full-scale test facility developments, with project portfolio in excess of £50mil. He has authored or coauthored more than 60 international research papers, a book in offshore wind farm technologies, design, and operation, and is the named inventor on multiple international patents. He has more than 20 years of collective experience in renewable industry, power conversion industry, and scientific research.
Dr. Ng is a currently a Chartered Engineer. He was the recipient of a numbers of technology innovative awards.
