Claudio Rivetta

Claudio H. Rivetta received the engineering degree in telecommunications from the National University of La Plata (UNLP), La Plata, Argentina, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA. In Argentina, he was a member of Electrical Engineering Department, UNLP, where his research was focused in power electronics. In 1990, he joined the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Batavia, IL, where he was involved in the design of low-noise electronics, dc power distribution systems for HEP detectors and motion control for astronomical telescopes. From 1999 to 2000, he was with CERN, Geneva, Switzerland, where he was a member of the CMS experiment working on radiation tests for power converters and the development of the EMC plan for the detector integration. Since 2005, he has been with the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Stanford, CA, USA, where his research includes modeling and control of radio frequency cavities and stabilization of particle beam dynamics via feedback control. His research interests include the areas of control, power electronics, and electromagnetic compatibility.
