个人简介
Bruce Childers is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pittsburgh. His research interests include compilers and software development tools, computer architecture, power-aware computing, and embedded systems. Childers' current research focuses on Continuous Compilation, profit-driven optimization, low overhead and reconfigurable software dynamic translation, debugging of dynamically optimized program code, demand-driven structural software testing, and compiler-directed energy management of real-time and embedded systems. In past work, he developed a novel system for the automatic design of application-specific processors. He also worked in industry on projects for custom VLIW/systolic architectures and low-power embedded processors. Childers received a BS degree (Computer Science, 1991) from the College of William and Mary, and a PhD degree (Computer Science, 2000) from the University of Virginia. He has served on international conference program committees, such as HiPEAC, PACT, AADEBUG, LCTES, RTAS and ICAC. Childers was a recipient of a Faculty Partnership Award from IBM Research in 2001 and 2002 and an co-recipient of an Eclipse Innovation Grant from IBM Research in 2003. He is a member of ACM and IEEE.
