个人简介
Brian Archambault received the B.S. degree in applied physics and the Ph.D. degree in nuclear engineering from Purdue University, USA, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. His research is currently focused toward research and development of the novel, superior intrinsic-efficiency, low-cost, and rugged tensioned metastable fluid-based detector (TMFD) sensor systems for use in a wide range of arenas (special nuclear material identification, nuclear energy, safeguards-security, radon/alpha emitter detection, real-time neutron spectroscopy, and directional neutron detection). His expertise is based on over six years of experience with the Metastable Fluids Advanced Research Laboratory, Purdue University, followed by six years at Sagamore Adams Labs as the Manager of Technology Development, developing these TMFD-based radiation detection systems. This expertise set includes the development of novel radiation detectors utilizing a judicious combination of experimentation and theoretical modeling. His skills as an experimental list include the design and development of radiation instrumentation ranging from low-level analog/digital circuitry to high-level programmable microcontrollers (in C and Processing languages), including experience programming in LabView, MATLAB, Fortran, C, C++, and Python. Additional experience includes modeling and simulation of complex multiphysics domain assessments utilizing both COMSOL and ANSYS platforms, and nuclear-particle transport modeling utilizing MCNP6, including the modeling and simulation of radiation detector characteristics using the post-processing code MCNPX-PoliMi. He has published over 30 articles in the archival literature, been awarded multiple U.S. and International patents and has received several awards, including industry and government recognitions.
