I'm amazed by social organization and therefore studied social mole rats as well as social insects. One main focus is on the evolution of lifespan in social systems but my interest reaches further to evolutionary transitions, complexity and resource transfers within biological systems. How is cooperative behavior favored and maintained in natural systems and what can we as humans learn from the social behavior in animals?
