个人简介
Biao Du was born in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China, in 1962. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 1983, the M.S. degree from CTI (Communication Telemetry and Telecontrol Research Institute), Shijiazhuang, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Shanghai University, Shanghai, China, in 1996.
From 1987 to 1995, he has served as a Design Engineer in the Microwave and Antenna Department, CTI. Since 1996, he has been working as a senior engineer. From 1999 to 2000, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Currently, he is a Professor, the Chair Expert, and the Deputy Chief Engineer of CETC 54 (The 54th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation). He has authored more than 130 academic articles and one book. He also holds more than 60 Chinese patents. His current research interests include satellite communication antennas, radio telescope antennas, corrugated horns, ultrawideband feeds, phased array antennas, and stealth antennas.
Dr. Du was a recipient of the Bao Gang Education Award for excellent student in 1995. He also received six National Advancement Awards in Science and Technology. He is a fellow of Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE).
