个人简介
Paolo Bettini received the Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2009. He has been an Assistant Professor since 2013. He is currently a Lecturer with the Aerospace Technologies and Materials (master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering) with the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology, Politecnico di Milano. His main research activities include smart materials (FO, PZT, and SMA) and their integration on smart structures, especially on the development of health monitoring systems and composite structures with morphing capabilities. Other activities involve the design of high sensitivity sensors based on Bragg grating technology. He is the author of more than 70 papers, most of them printed in international journals or presented at international conferences.
The scientific activity has brought him to take part in research programs financed by MIUR, ASI, CNR, JRC, and EU. His research activities are performed in co-operation with Italian and foreign universities and research centers (CIRA, CISE, ENEL, and JRC) and with some of the most important Italian companies operating in the high technologies and innovative materials field (Leonardo Spa, Ferrari GS).
