1)Biosphere-atmosphere exchange, boundary layer processes and mesoscale meteorology.
2)Quantification of trace gas budgets (e.g. carbon monoxide [CO], volatile organic compounds [VOC], per- oxides [RO2], nitrogen oxides [NOx], peroxyacyl nitrates [PANs], ozone [O3], sulfur dioxide [SO2]) in un- polluted and polluted areas (e.g. Munich, Berlin, Athens, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas).
3)Atmospheric radical chemistry involving formaldehyde [HCHO], hydrogen peroxide [H2O2] and nitrous acid [HONO],
4)Source apportionment for primary pollutants. 5)Application and development of chemistry-transport modeling.
