Dr Bonanni coordinates (as PI or co-PI) various networks of clinical research for conducting national and international multicenter studies of phase II and III, participating in the conception, development, interpretation, discussion and publication, enrollment of patients as well as in the care of the clinical aspects of the studies, including the evaluation of the toxicity and the determination of the minimum active dose of the medications.

The collaboration for several oncology and genetics research projects with prestigious international research institutions is well established, including: Division of Cancer Prevention of the US National Cancer Institute; M.D. Anderson's Cancer Center; Consortium for Chemoprevention Trials at NCI; Cancer Research UK; International Breast Cancer Study Group (IBCSG); Department of Endocrinology, University of Bergen; International Agency for Cancer Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon; Consortium of Investigators of Modifiers of BRCA1/2 (CIMBA); Consortium for the Study of the MMR alleles and their modifiers (CONSAMM); Breast Cancer Association Consortium (BCAC).
