I received my Ph.D. in computer science in 2004, after being part of PDOS at CSAIL, MIT. I am currently the Director of Technology at Addgene and CTO at LabLife. With Melina Fan, I co-founded Addgene in 2004, a non-profit organization that archives and distributes plasmids. Addgene aims to build a central repository of useful plasmids from published experiments. For more information, see our letter in Science or visit our website. In 2009 Addgene spun-off LabLife platform to help labs and scientists become more efficient, organized, and connected. See LabLife's Product Search for catalogs of lab supplies (e.g. Addgene, Fisher, etc), Community Page, Shared Materials, Shared Protocols.
