I use a combination of molecular genetic tools, mouse models, functional genomics and bioinformatic approaches to study stem cell biology at the single cell, multicellular and systems level. I am particularly interested in the molecular bases of stem cell stress responses, plasticity and heterogeneity as they are likely to be of critical importance for the development of effective cancer therapeutic strategies and for strategies in tissue engineering, tissue repair and aging.
