Benjamin Fernandez received the B.Sc. degree in electromechanical engineering from the Moterrey Institute of Technology, Mexico, the M.Sc. degree in mechatronics from the Technische Universität Hamburg (TUHH), Germany, the M.B.A. degree in technology management from the Northern Institute of Technology Management, Hamburg, Germany, and the Ph.D. degree in systems and control engineering from the National University of Distance Education (UNED), Spain. He is currently involved in the areas of agricultural robotics and automation with the Department of Research and Advanced Engineering, AGCO GmbH, Germany. His research activities include navigation, path planning and following, collision avoidance, unmanned vehicles, and swarm robotics.
