• Dr. Balbir Singh, [ Ex-Dean Students Welfare, HoD (4 times), University Coordinator, Universal Human Values Cell], is working as an Associate Professor in School of Mechanical Engineering at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Kakryal, Jammu, J&K, India since 2007. He has 21 years of teaching experience. Out of which 8 years in Lingaya's Institute of Mgt. & Tech. (Now University), and GFITM, Faridabad, Haryana, India and MBS College, Jammu, J&K, India before joining SMVDU, Katra. He has served 16 years (1984-2000) in Indian Air Force as an Airman. • Dr. Balbir Singh is having BA from Jammu University (1987), MA from Osmania University (1992), Diploma in Business Management from Pune University (1994) . Dr. Singh is technically graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IE(I) (1996) and M.Tech. in Mechanical Production from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, Punjab, Punjab (2002). He was awarded Ph.D. from NIT Kurukshetra, Haryana, India (2016). • Professionally qualified for Six Sigma Green Belt, ZED Certification Master Trainer. Internal Auditor for QMS, EMS, OHSMS. • His area of research is Non-conventional Machining method, Maintenance, and Quality control, Industrial Automation and Industry 4.0, .
