Baochen Liao received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, in 2009 and the Ph.D. degree from the same university in 2014. From 2009 to 2013, he was a Research Scholar with the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) and the Spin and Energy Lab (SEL). He was also with A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) from 2012 to 2014. From 2013 to 2017, he was a Lab Manager and Research Fellow at SEL, NUS. He is currently the Principle Investigator and Project Manager for an industrial project at SERIS. His research interests include reducing the cost and improving the efficiency for silicon solar cells, thin-film deposition (particularly by atomic layer deposition) and characterization, and novel materials and advanced microelectronics based technologies for solar cell applications.
