个人简介
While studying biology and history at Rice University, Brian Richmond conducted honors research through the Ford Foundation, a human welfare nonprofit. After earning his bachelor of arts, he went to Stony Brook University to earn both a master of arts and a doctorate in Anthropological Sciences. Brian Richmond’s accomplishments at Stony Brook include serving as a university teaching fellow and publishing the first few scientific articles of the over 80 articles and books he would author over the course of his career. In recognition of his student research achievements, he received both an Ales Hrdlicka Prize and a Norman Creel Prize.
After earning his PhD, Brian Richmond served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Institution, and as a tenured Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Anthropology at George Washington University. He left academia in 2017 to join the fast-growing startup WeWork to create and grow the People Analytics team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts. Currently, Dr. Richmond is building upon years of research experience in the corporate sphere as a senior data scientist in charge of product intelligence at the early-stage startup Aura Health.
