B-G Andersson

Dr. B-G Andersson is the SOFIA Associate Director for Science Operations. He supports the Science Mission Operations Director in the process of soliciting and selecting science proposals. With a team of instrument and user support astronomers, he works with the Mission Operations team to define and execute the resulting SOFIA science operations. In addition, Dr. Andersson works with an international group of astronomers to conduct research, primarily on interstellar medium polarization, and on issues relating to understanding how gas transitions between the dense and the diffuse phases of the ISM.
