个人简介
Axel Murk received the M.Sc. degree in physics from the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Bern, Bern, Switzerland, in 1999.
Since 1999, he has been involved in the development and characterization of submillimeter-wave instrumentation for different ground-based and space-borne projects. In 2003, he was with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency as an Invited Scientist. Since 2006, he has been the Head of the Terahertz Optics group, Institute of Applied Physics, University of Bern, and since 2018 the Head of the Microwave Physics Division with the same institute. He is currently Co-Investigator of the submillimeter-wave instrument on ESA's Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer mission. His research interests include antenna design and measurements at frequencies in the millimeter- and submillimeter-wave range, quasi-optics, remote sensing, and radio astronomical instrumentation.
