Ashish Dasgupta

Ashish DasGupta, received the Ph.D. degree in radio physics and electronics from Calcutta University, Calcutta, India, in 1971. He joined Calcutta University as a Lecturer in 1968 and retired as a Professor in 2007. From 1980 to 1983, he was an NRC/NAS Senior Resident Research Associate at the Air Force Geophysics Laboratory, Hanscom AFB, MA. He was the Director of S. K. Mitra Center for research in Space Environment. He leads a group of scientists working on equatorial ionospheric phenomena with special reference to communication and navigational systems.
