Bio
Armin Badre (S'04) was born in Esfahan, Iran, in 1985. He started his Bachelor of electrical engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2004. In 2005, he shifted to Bachelor of Science with concentration in health science and a minor in psychology.
In 2005, he joined the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering as a summer student to participate in the study of biometrics and electrocardiograms. In 2006, he joined the Ottawa Health Research Institute as a summer student to study differentiation of stem cells into red blood cells. In 2006, he also joined the Department of Vascular Surgery, The Ottawa Hospital, as a student to study the natural history of inoperable large aortic aneurysms. He currently studies Parkinson's disease at Carleton University Institute of Neuroscience, Ottawa.
Mr. Badre won the NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award in 2007.
