个人简介
I am a Research Associate in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, and former student of John A. Stankovic, BP America Professor and former chair of the department. Prior to coming to UVA, I worked in the telecom industry on VoIP, ISDN-BRI, digital trunking, and customer-premises PBXes. My BS in CS is from Virginia Tech.
My research interests lie in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), other networks (wireless, mesh, ad hoc), security, privacy, operating systems, applications development, and anything else systems-related that is challenging. I particularly enjoy trying to solve the security challenges of resource-constrained embedded systems, where many traditional methods are not efficient enough to be practical. (More details ...)
Sensor networks have many interesting applications, from military surveillance to volcano monitoring and tracking zebras in the wild. We're researching ways to improve healthcare for the elderly in our AlarmNet testbed. (Other projects ...)
