Anirban Sarkar (Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. degree from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Hooghly Engineering and Technology College, Chinsurah, India, in 2011, the M.E. degree in microwave communication from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Howrah, India, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in RF and microwave from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, Kanpur, India, in 2019.
After Ph.D. degree, he joined the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. After that, he worked at the Micro-Technology Laboratory, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, USA, as a Research Associate. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India. He has authored and coauthored more than 50 international conference, letter, and journal papers. His research interests include THz antennas, nan-biosensors, millimeter-wave beam scanning antennas, and reconfigurable leaky-wave antennas.
Dr. Sarkar served as a Reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques (MTT), IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering (TBE), IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TAP), Sensors, IET Electronics Letter, Microwave and Optical Technology Letters (MOTL) (Wiley), IET Microwave and Antenna Propagation (Wiley), and International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering (RFCAD). He also served as a Secretary for MTT-S Student Branch Chapter IIT Kanpur and Webmaster and the Vice-Chair for IEEE APS Student Branch Chapter IIT Kanpur.
