Bio
Main theme of our research group pertains to the investigation of the PROCESS-STRUCTURE relationship of advanced materials at different length scales. We aim to probe into the synthesis issues (via materials chemistry routes) for nanoparticles, oxides, ceramics etc and try to understand the complexities involved in the process; the investigation methods include a variety of structural characterisation tools (e.g., XRD, Raman, TEM, TG-DSC, FTIR, SEM, ICP-MS etc). The final objective is to provide/come up with a sustainable process with the option of industrial scalability.
Another direction of our research at IIT Patna involves failure analysis (of process, product etc) of industrial samples [Target Industries: Metallurgy, Ceramic, Refractory, Tiles, Cement, Abrasives, Pharmaceutical etc]
