My research involves understanding how oceanic forces drive the distribution of wave energy and sediment within different coastal systems. This research is motivated by the need to improve our understanding of the coupling between hydrodynamics and other key processes occurring in marine environments. I also have interests in the interaction between the coastal environment and structures. I use field measurements, laboratory experiments, and computer modelling as the tools of my research.
