I'm a Professor in Monsoon Systems funded jointly by the University of Reading's Academic Investment Programme (see also) and NCAS, based in the Department of Meteorology.

My general interests are in monsoon variability, predictability and prediction including the interaction between monsoon systems and other elements of the climate system.

I'm a Member and former Co-Chair of the GEWEX/CLIVAR Monsoons Panel, which aims to design and promote internationally coordinated work in the global monsoons
