Andrew R. Pike

Andrew R. Pike received the B.Sc. degree in medicinal chemistry from Newcastle University, U.K., the M.Sc. degree in functional molecular chemistry from Hokkaido University, Japan, and the Ph.D. degree in DNA-silicon hybrid sensing materials in Newcastle. He was a Postdoctoral Research Assistant working on DNA-based nanomaterials. He was with INEX Ltd., working with industry on biothreat sensing systems. He was a RCUK Academic Fellow, in 2005. Since 2005, he has been a Lecturer and a Senior Lecturer in chemical nanoscience with Newcastle University. His research interests include DNA-based sensor systems and their applications in multiple market sectors.
