He holds positions in the boards of directors and scientific advisory boards of several diabetes-focused companies and non-profit institutions. Prof. Pfützner has performed more than 400 clinical studies as Principal Investigator or Investigator, including over 150 clinical research projects with diabetes-related technologies. He has published more than 800 full papers, abstracts and book articles covering multiple scientific areas including diabetes, endocrinology, drug development, and device development and his research has won numerous awards.
