个人简介
My current research intertwines with my teaching: I'm interested primarily in how to improve and better integrate ethics education in STEM curriculum, including through community engaged- and project-based- learning. In 2021 I started collaborating on the NSF-funded project Responsible Engineering Across Cultures (Qin Zhu & Scott Streiner, PIs) which looks at engineering ethics education in universities in the Netherlands, the U.S., and China. I'm also currently working on research on collective environmental virtues, nature-based solutions for climate adaptation, and how best to teach environmental philosophy and ethics to engineering students.
Past research has focused on conceptions of nature, environment & landscape; rewilding; place & place-making; and climate change & climate engineering ethics and I've co-hosted and produced a conversation-based podcast about environmental philosophy. Outside of philosophy I have experience in biological field research, research and analysis for environmental nonprofits, and editing.
