个人简介
My area of research is thermal-fluid-structure dynamics, both experimental and modelling/computational, and my interests are: micro-scale and macro-scale two-phase flow; boiling; evaporation; condensation; thermal-hydraulics and thermal-fluid dynamics; fluid systems transient analysis; flow induced vibration and flexible fluid-structure interaction.
After receiving my Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy in 2005, I worked as Senior Engineer/Scientist at Westinghouse Electric Company, Science and Technology Department in Pittsburgh-PA, USA, where I worked in transient/safety analysis of nuclear power plants and in small modular nuclear reactor design and testing. I successively moved to the Laboratory of Heat and Mass Transfer at EPFL-The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland, where I worked as post-doctoral researcher on macro-micro-scale two-phase flow modelling for demanding cooling applications.
