The main focus of my research for the last years has been:
Understanding the molecular mechanisms driving disease development of both cutaneous T cells lymphoma and benign skin inflammatory diseases.
Understanding the role of bacterial derived metabolites in regulation of the innate and adaptive immune system in the skin, and how these impact cutanous disease development.
Furthermore, as part of my research focus, I have also been involved in the development of new tools for improved diagnostic distinction between benign, and malignant skin diseases (miRNA profiling, patent: WO2013011378-A1), and in development of new drug for treatment of cutaneous T cell lymphoma (pending patent: P017300DK1).
