Ahmed practices general dermatology at Ascension Seton’s downtown Austin and Buda clinics and directs the dermatology service for CommUnityCare health system in Austin. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Ahmed has a special interest in disorders of pigmentation, especially vitiligo, and serves as head of the Central Texas Center for Pigmentary Disorders. He has served on the board of directors of the national Skin of Color Society. Ahmed is actively involved in research and has presented his findings at meetings around the world and in numerous peer-reviewed articles.
