Bio

Amitkumar Mahadevan (S'95–M'05) was born in Mumbai, India. He received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering in 1998 from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai University, Mumbai, India, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering in 2002 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 2005 from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Catonsville, MD. In 2005, he joined Conexant Systems Inc., Red Bank, NJ, as a firmware engineer and currently works on advanced technology development for various flavors of DSL communication systems. His research interests include discrete-multitone-based communication systems, error-correction codes, importance sampling techniques, quantum information theory, and quantum error-correction codes.
