Dr. Amit Kumar Banerjee is having years of experience in conducting scientific research including project planning, executing, report preparation and scientific writing. He completed his doctoral degree from CSIR Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, India and continuing as a senior researcher. He is associated as a researcher, scientific writer, editor and reviewer to different organizations, publishers and several journals of national and international repute in various capacities.
His research areas include computational biology, system biology, application of machine learning techniques and biological “BIG DATA”, bioinformatics analyses of vector borne diseases, NGS data analysis, sequence analysis, microRNA, comparative genomics, small RNA predictions, phylogeny and molecular modeling. He is also working in the area of clinical research.
He has been awarded by several leading international organizations and societies including Marquis Who’s Who, USA; Applied Zoologist Research Association, India; American Biographical Institute, USA; International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, UK for his scientific contributions in employing computational approaches to understand vector borne diseases such as Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya and other diseases and implementation of intelligent techniques in classification of biological data.
His academic credentials include B.Sc. (honors) in Human Physiology followed by M.Sc., and M.Phil. in Biotechnology and Ph.D. in Computational Biology (Regd. in Zoology). He holds a PG diploma in Patent Laws, Advanced Diploma in Bioinformatics and national level Advanced Course in Bioinformatics (jointly conducted by CDAC, CSIR-IICT and JNTU-H).
He has published numerous scientific articles in reputed international and national journals and conferences and wrote many book chapters till now which remained well recognized and cited by the fellow research community.
