个人简介
Ali Khakifirooz (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007.
As a part of his Ph.D. thesis, he studied performance scaling and carrier transport in advanced MOSFET technologies and contributed to the development of MIT Virtual Source MOSFET model. From 2008 to 2014, he was with IBM Research, where he contributed to the development of FDSOI technology and later to the 10nm and 7nm pathfinding activities. From 2014 to 2015, he was with Spansion, Inc., and subsequently Cypress Semiconductor, where he worked on 32nm NOR, embedded flash, and 3D NAND technologies. He is currently with Intel, working on 3D NAND pathfinding. At Intel, he was a part of the team that qualified world’s first four-bit-per-cell (QLC) 3D NAND technology. He has authored or coauthored three book chapters and more than 100 journal and conference papers and holds more than 700 issued U.S. patents. He was the Technical Program Chair and the General Chair of the IEEE S3S Conference in 2017 and 2018.
