Alexandra M J Langers

Alexandra Langers has been working as a gastroenterologist at Leiden University Medical Center since 2007. Her main focus is on hereditary gastrointestinal tumor syndromes like Lynch syndrome, familial adenomatous polyposis, MutYH associated polyposis, Peutz-Jeghers etc. She also participates in the care for patients with esophageal, gastric and colorectal cancer. She is a certified bowel cancer screening colonoscopist. Besides her clinical duties, she holds a strong interest in medical education. This involves (medical) student education, resident training and postgraduate teaching and training. She is a member of the Leiden Teachers' Academy. Her research focusses on two domains: 1. Medical education 2. Oncology
