Alessandro Borri

Alessandro Borri (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (summa cum laude) in computer and control engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the University of L’Aquila, L’Aquila, Italy, in 2004, 2007, and 2011, respectively. He spent research periods at Ford Motor Company, Aachen, Germany, in 2007; the University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, USA, from 2008 to 2009; the University of California at Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, from 2009 to 2010; and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, in 2011. From 2011 to 2012, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of L’Aquila, where he currently holds an external affiliation and is an Adjunct Professor of systems biology. In 2012, he joined the Institute for Systems Analysis and Computer Science “A. Ruberti,” National Research Council of Italy (CNR-IASI), Rome, Italy, where he is currently a Researcher. He has coauthored over 80 peer-reviewed international publications. His research interests include hybrid systems, control applications, systems biology, and biomathematics. Dr. Borri is a Senior Member of the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS), an Academic Editor of PLOS One, an Associate Editor of International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, and a member of the IEEE-CSS Conference Editorial Board (CEB). He was a co-recipient of the Premium Award 2018 for Best Paper in IET Systems Biology.
