A. Garcia-Rigo

Alberto Garcia-Rigo is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in aerospace science and technology and engineering of telecommunications from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2012. He is an international expert on global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based ionospheric determination, space weather, and positioning, with a particular focus on real-time/prediction operational systems. He is currently the Head of the Project Management Office, Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), Barcelona, also contributing to its Knowledge Transfer Office since September 2018. Dr. Garcia-Rigo also chairs a Joint Working Group within the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS) Program. He has been an Associate Editor of IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing (JSTARS) since December 2019 and part of the Organising Committee of the ESA’s 4th Symposium on Space Educational Activities (SSEA) since 2022.
