Aimee J. Nelson

Aimee J. Nelson received the Ph.D. degree in human neurophysiology and neuroimaging from the Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 2003. She subsequently pursued as a Postdoctoral Associate with the McGovern Center for Brain, MIT, Cambridge, MA, USA, from 2003 to 2005, where she advanced the technique of high-field (9.4 T) monkey imaging. In 2005, Dr. Nelson became a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Funded Postdoctoral Fellow with the Toronto Western Research Institute, Toronto, where she continued to advance my neurophysiology and imaging techniques with studies in individuals with movement disorders. In 2008, she joined the Department of Kinesiology, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, as an Assistant Professor. She joined the Department of Kinesiology, McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada, in 2012, as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Sensorimotor Control and is now a Full Professor. Dr. Nelson is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, and an Associate Member of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, McMaster University.
