个人简介
Adam J. Morgan (S’12) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Binghamton University, Binghamton, NY, USA, in 2013, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2015, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Future Renewable Electric Energy Delivery and Management Systems Center, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
He has held internships at the ABB U.S. Corporate Research Center, Raleigh, NC, USA, Sandia National Lab, Albuquerque, NM, USA, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD, USA. He is currently a Research Assistant with PowerAmerica, Raleigh, NC, USA, and the Packaging Research in Electronic Energy Systems Laboratory, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, under its director Dr. D. C. Hopkins. His current research interests include the design, simulation, fabrication, and testing of power electronics packaging topologies that look to harness the capabilities of wide-bandgap semiconductor technology (GaN/SiC), with a focus on very high-frequency scalable, power converters, taking advantage of self-oscillating resonant schemes.
Mr. Morgan’s awards and honors include the APEC 2016 Best Presenter in Technical Track Award, the NSF ERC FREEDM Systems Center Graduate Fellowship, the NSCU College of Engineering Graduate Merit Award, and the Lockheed Martin Systems Integration Scholarship.
