Hartwig Adam is a computer vision researcher at Google and founder and engineering lead of the Mobile Vision group in Google Research. His team develops visual perception and on-device machine learning systems with focus on mobile phones and wearable devices. In previous projects he was responsible for the development of Visual Search Service, a widely used cloud vision service at Google, and led teams working on Photo Search, Google Goggles and Glass. Prior to joining Google, Hartwig was co-founder and VP of Platform Development at the startup Neven Vision, an early pioneer in computer vision, which was acquired by Google in 2006
