Adam E. Gaweda (M'99) received the M. Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Czestochowa, Poland, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, in 1997 and 2002, respectively. He is currently with the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, University of Louisville, where he performs research on application of neural networks and fuzzy systems to pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling and optimal drug dosing. His interests include fuzzy and neuro-fuzzy systems and their applications to system modeling and adaptive control.
