Dr. Abhishek Mathur Dr. Abhishek Mathur is presently working as an Head (R&D/QC/QA) in Prathista Industries Limited, Telangana. He is Ph.D. in Biochemistry from National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR) and Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P) and is associated with Research associations world wide. He is also acting as the Reviewer and Member in Editorial Board of different international & national journals. He is associated with different National and International Scientific Bodies. During his research tenure he had isolated 2 novel molecules for antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. He has total of 18+ years of research experience. He has more than 120 plus Research publications in International/National/Referred Journals to his credit. He had recently filed 03 patents on self made technologies in his industrial research career. He had 2 books published from Germany and India. He had presented his research papers in the form of Oral and posters in about 60 National & International Conferences. His scientific work emphasizes the importance of cellulase, pectinase and chitinases in industries. His area of expertise involves isolation and characterization of novel molecules; isolation and characterization of microbes for industrial and human-beneficial purposes; production and application of the metabolites of microbes for the human benefits. He is actively indulged in process refining; value addition/modification of existing products; new product development; identification of specific catalysts/enzymes; enhancement of fermentation efficiency (fermentation boosters) enhancing recovery; solid waste management; effluent/waste water recycling, Improvement of Microbial strains; SSF (Mycorrhiza; Trichoderma, Bio-insecticides; Bio-pesticides); SmF(Biofertilizers; PGPRs), Taxonomic Identification and isolation of Fungi (different groups such as aeromycoflora, aquatic flora-zoosporic and floating); Screening of potential microbes for production of bio-insecticides/bio-pesticides; bio fertilizers; antimicrobials; recombinant proteins; enzymes; secondary metabolites etc. He had expertise in Solid waste management: Bioremediation/landfills; Composting; Waste to Power, Waste water treatment.. He has experience in Product development for Industrial problems (in lieu for providing solutions); Technology Transfer. Consultancy for different industrial problems. Molecular biology techniques viz. Agarose gel electrophoresis; Southern blotting; identification of location of gene of interest; PAGE, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting etc. Evaluation of lab and field trials of the products formulated; costing and inputs calculation for outputs etc. Mushroom cultivation; spawn preparation; waste to compost to mushrooms concept. Production of secondary metabolites from Ganoderma and other edible/non-edible species . Recently he is amongst 2 percent Scientists of the country and world. Followed with journey of achievements, he was awarded by prestigious awards and recognization. His most prestigious awards are, Young Scientist Award for Outstanding Contribution and Recognition in the Field of Biological Sciences by Mewar University, Chittorgarh in year, 2013. He was invited as International Speaker for Invited Talk in 2nd International Conference & Exhibition on Food Processing and Technology organized by OMICS at Kansas City, USA in year, 2013. He was awarded by Young Scientist Award by SARC for Effective Communication in Science and Technology at Mewar Institute, Ghaziabad (U.P) in year, 2012. He was awarded by Young Scientist Award in National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Medical Biotechnology & Nanotechnology at Arni University in year 2011. He was awarded by Young Scientist Award- in VI Uttarakhand State Science & Technology Congress held at SSJ Campus, Almora (U.K), India in year, 2011. He Organized International & National Conferences in year 2013 and 2012 respectively. He had supervised about 30 students for Dissertation/Project work. Presently he is supervising 08 students for Ph.D. Presently he is actively associated with different research projects on Municipal Waste (MSW) Management, Waste water/Spent wash treatment, screening of potent biocides for sugar mill sanitation and fertilizers production and green nano technology.
