Abhirup Banerjee (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in statistics from the University of Calcutta, India, in 2009, and the master’s degree in statistics and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India, in 2011 and 2017, respectively. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Engineering Science, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oxford, and a Stipendiary Lecturer with the Mansfield College, Oxford, U.K. His research interests include biomedical image analysis, machine learning, statistical pattern recognition, and so forth. He has published around 20 articles in international journals and conferences. He is also a reviewer of many international journals. He has received the Young Scientist Award from the Indian Science Congress Association in the year 2016–2017.
