Bio
Dr. Abdus Sobhan has completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from South Dakota State University, USA, in 2021. He received his MSc in Food Science from Sangmyung University, South Korea in 2018. Besides, he completed his bachelor’s degree in "Food and Process Engineering from Hajee Mohammad Danesh and Technology University, Bangladesh in 2014.
Dr. Abdus Sobhan is currently working as a postdoc research scientist at the University of Arkansas from July 2022. He is an expert in Food Safety, Smart food packaging, and food spoilage microbes using an electrochemical biosensor method. He invented a biochar-based impedance immuno-sensor for rapid and selective detection of pathogens in packaged foods. He is also an expert in a biopolymer-based composite, nanocomposite, and indicator packaging system. He has published about 18 articles as a first author in peer-reviewed journals and attended 30 conferences. He has 4+ years of teaching experience in the field of food safety, and food microorganisms using the biosensor.
