Aleixandre Verger

Aleixandre Verger received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain, in 2008. He is currently a Researcher with the National Research Council of Spain (CSIC), Desertification Research Centre (CIDE), Valencia, and with Centre for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications (CREAF), Barcelona, Spain. He has been leading the development of the operational algorithms for the retrieval of biophysical variables such as leaf area index and the fraction of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation from satellite data within the Copernicus Global Land and Copernicus Climate Change Services, among others. His research interests include the retrieval of vegetation variables from remote sensing data.
